Merrell L. (Wheaton) Reinhart, formerly of Shook Road, Hadley passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the St. John Lutheran Senior Care Center, Mars, PA. She was 77.
She was born in Ravenswood, WV on May 15, 1939, a daughter of Gertrude (Pease) and Clarence Wheaton. She married Harry J. Reinhart on June 20, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Merrell was self employed as a sales representative for Avon for 30 years and was also a homemaker. She volunteered for the Sheakleyville Fire Department’s Annual Homecoming and Chicken Pie Supper. But what she really offered to everyone, was herself. Merrell was kind and loving; she really enjoyed people, opening her home to everyone. She would often brag about her daughters and was always there for her grandchildren. She attended church at North Salem Wesleyan, and was also a member of their book club.
Merrell is survived by her daughters, Shirley Spiegel and husband Ronald, of Hadley and Melissa Foust and companion David Thompson, of Harrisville, a brother, Johnny M. Wheaton and wife Karen, of Jackson Center, and two grandchildren, Rayna LeAnn Foust and Justin Donald Foust.
She is preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Merrell Sue Reinhart, three sisters, Berle M. Augustine, Mary Juanita Wheaton and Ireta M. Best, and a brother, Darrell E. Wheaton.
The funeral service for Merrell will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville with Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of the North Salem Wesleyan Church officiating. The Committal Service and Internment will be at the Hadley Cemetery.
