Willis Steven Vaughn Obituary

Willis Steven Vaughn, Cochranton, Greenwood Twp., passed away early Friday morning, April 26, 2024, at the Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born on February 21, 1957, a son of Willis I. and Kay (Wills) Vaughn.  He had been employed as a cable lineman while residing in New York and later was employed by Reznor, Mercer.  Willis had the ability to make anything grow and is known for his beautiful gardens and plants. He utilized his talents, along with his imagination in making waterfalls, fishponds, landscaping, and doing stonework for others.  He was an avid fisherman and would often be found spending many a night on the pontoon on Lake Wilhelm.  He was also a collector of Eagle memorabilia.

He is survived by his children, Bobby Vaughn, Sharon, Willis Allen Vaughn, Erie, and Natalie R. Vaughn, Andover, OH., His mother, Kay McQuiston, and her companion John Hays, Atlantic; a stepsister, Kari Peak, and her companion, Jeff Powers, Rising Sun, IN; a sister-in-law, Charlene Spence, Jackson Center, 4 grandchildren, Austin Vaughn, Richard Seelbaugh, Madelyn Vaughn and Emma Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, Fred McQuiston; a brother, Mark Spence, and a son, Cecil W. Vaughn.

The family will be privately honoring the life of Willis.  No services are scheduled.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville
