William P. Ferry, Mercer, Springfield Twp. passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, April 28, 2024, at his residence. He was 72.
He was born in Grove City on August 7, 1951, a son of the late Robert F. and Shirley M. (Knight) Ferry. Bill had been employed by the former Steel Car and later Trinity Industries, until its closing. He then was employed by Thomas Construction, Grove City. He was a member of the American Legion Post 584, Mercer.
Mr. Ferry loved being in the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking and just tinkering around the house. He is remembered by his family for his loving, gentle, and compassionate disposition.
He is survived by his son, Chad Ferry, Wichita, KS.; Three sisters, Carol English, Slippery Rock, Linda (Mark) Phillips, Cool Ridge, WV, Bonita Gay Wallace, Rochester, NY, and one granddaughter, Alexa Ferry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Bernard E. Uber, his twin children, Justin Ferry and Caitlin Ferry, a brother, Robert F. Ferry, Jr., and a sister, Barbara Freeman.
Respecting the wishes of Mr. Ferry there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
