Thomas L. Hoalcraft

Thomas L. Hoalcraft, 72, Greenville passed away Monday evening, December 23, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

He was born in Greenwood, WV, on September 21, 1952, a son of the late James and Stella (Dillon) Hoalcraft.  Following his graduation from high school, Thomas displayed his love for his country by enlisting in the US Army, where he served stateside and honorably during the Vietnam Era. His bravery and dedication during his service were a testament to his strong character. On June 7, 1975, Thomas married the love of his life, Cynthia L. Reed. Together, they built a beautiful life over 49 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Thomas was a man of many interests and passions. He was an avid bowler, often at Mercer Lanes. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of reading and playing horseshoes. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for riding motorcycles, and he was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the WV Mountaineers' football and basketball teams

Thomas's legacy is carried on by his wife, Cynthia, and their two children, Angela (Andrew) Sorg of Greenville, and Daniel (Haley) Hoalcraft, also of Greenville. He was a loving and proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: River and Mason Sorg; Harper, Estella, Haylen, Raiden, Rosalyn, and Everleigh Hoalcraft, each of whom brought him immeasurable happiness. His sister, Sandy (Larry) McMahan of Winston-Salem, NC, and his brother, John (Sandy) Hoalcraft of Canal Fulton, OH

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gary, Gene, and James Hoalcraft.

A memorial visitation honoring the life of Thomas L. Hoalcraft will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., located at 169 Second Street, Fredonia. Friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by Thomas are welcome to attend and share in the celebration of a life well-lived.
