Thomas J. Harvey, Sr., Geneva, Greenwood Twp. passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home early Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025. He was 71.
Tom was born in Wyandotte, MI on August 1, 1953, a son of the late Roy and Hazel (Walker) Harvey, Sr. On December 21, 1999, he married the former Kim Irene Brumbaugh, who survives. Tom began his working career building homes in Texas and then returned to the area where Arrow Forge employed him. He subsequently worked at Meadville Forge, retiring after 35 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly gardening, with a special interest in his blueberry bushes and apple trees. He enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, traveling, and camping.
In addition to his wife, Kim, he is survived by his children, Thomas (Christina) Harvey, Jr, Sheakleyville, Jason (Ashley) Harvey, Geneva, Sandy Hall, Geneva, Jeffrey Hall and his companion Tammy, Hartstown, and William (Stacy) Hall, Utica. Three sisters. Jeanette Beggs, Hadley, Billie Jo Mears, Hadley, and Carol Zaker, Hadley; Thirteen grandchildren, Ryker, Kayden, Heather, Cooper, Lyla, Austin, Brady, Richard, Randy, William, Sara, Darian, and Serenity. Several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Thomas J. Harvey, III, a sister, Lynne Rhoades, and two brothers, Row W. Harvey, Jr, and Lee Harvey.
The family will be privately honoring Tom’s life with no services scheduled.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
