Shirley M. (Thompson) Kasbee, formerly of Hadley, Perry Township, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Clepper Manor, Sharon. She was 92.
Born May 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Howard D. and Leona M. (Harnett) Thompson. On April 11, 1952, she married Harry N. Kasbee her husband of 70 years, who preceded her in death on September 28, 2022.
Shirley was a longtime member of the former Clarks Mills United Methodist Church and the former New Vernon Grange. She was active in her community, belonging to her neighborhood card club, the Homemaker and Sewing Club, and Forget Me Knots for many years. She also served as a 4-H leader.
She loved children and animals and enjoyed gardening, working on the farm, sewing, decorating her home—especially for the holidays—and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, but most of all, she cherished her family and the time they shared.
She is survived by her children; James (Dianne) Kasbee, Hadley; two daughters, Joyce (John R.) Chess, Clarks Mills and Julia (Walter) Vincent, Myakka City, FL; two sisters, Mary K. (William) Powell, Greenville and Laura Thompson, Greenville; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Fernandes, Shayna (David) Parks, David Fritz and girlfriend Joni, Amanda Fritz, Michael Kasbee, Kevin Kasbee and his girlfriend, Kay Donahue, Breanna (Brian) Hooks, , Cordell Kasbee, Braden Vincent, Collin Vincent and Arabella Vincent and fiancé Lakotah Legare and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son John Kasbee
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Hadley Cemetery. The visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will be livestreamed at www.snyderfh.com at 2:00 PM
