Shirley (Gravatt) Dunn

Shirley Dunn, Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville passed away early Sunday morning, September 9, 2018 at her residence following a period of declining health.  She was 87.

Shirley was born in Mercer County on September 21, 1930 a daughter to the late Clarence O. and Nellie L (Calvin) Gravatt.  On October 23, 1953 she married Kenneth W. Dunn who had preceded her in death on August 2, 2018.  She had been employed by the former American Viscos, Meadville from which she had retired.  She was of the protestant faith.

She is survived by two nieces, Paula Mlinarich and her husband James, Alexandria, VA and Pamela Lester and her husband (Stephen), Fayetteville, N.C.; 6 great nieces and nephews and 10 great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a sister Twila Morgus.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Elaine, Crystal and Tracy for the excellent and compassionate care that they had provided to Shirley during the past several years.

The funeral and committal service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Janice Good, pastor of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church officiating.  Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.  Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. time of the service and are invited to share memories and condolences online at snyderfh.com
