Shirley Mae (Hedglin) Brendle

Shirley Mae Brendle, of Meadville, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 11, 2024, at her residence. She was 95.

Shirley was born in Conneautville on August 29, 1929, a daughter of the lag John and Rhea (Beers) Hedglin. She married John Henry Brendle, who preceded her in death. Shirley was previously employed by the former Avtex, Meadville, from which she retired.

Mrs. Brendle’s faith was an important part of her life. She most recently attended the Wadsworth Avenue Evangelical Church and the former Sheakleyville Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Robert J. Brendle, Cambridge Springs, Donna (Glenn) Todd, Milton, FL; and David J. Brendle, Meadville; a brother, Russell Hedglin, Ashland, OH; and two grandchildren, John Daniel Brendle, Cambridge Springs; and Jacob Hedrick, Ft. Payne, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville, with Rev. William Wisniewski officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband, John, at the Greenfield Cemetery.
