Samuel Robert Colpetzer, Laver Road, Greenville (Perry Twp.) passed away early Friday morning, August 27, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 47.
He was born in Tyrone, PA on May 6, 1974, a son of Thomas Arthur and Karen Louise (Manges) Colpetzer. Sam was a 1992 graduate of the Lawrence County Vo Tech where he studied diesel mechanics. He possessed a special skill and knowledge that allowed him to fix most anything and was often able to be a problem solver when others were not able to find a resolution. He was a life long dairy farmer and most recently had been employed by CY Construction, Fredonia. He enjoyed the companionship of his dog “Scruffy” and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
He is survived by his father, Thomas A. (Amy) Colpetzer, Greenville; his mother, Karen L. (Joel) Roberts, Titusville; his siblings, Wendy (Jason) McCullough, Bicknell, IN., Angie (Caleb) Cooper, Slippery Rock, Sally Oakes, Jackson Center and George Colpetzer, Greenville.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Brock Henry of the Calvary Fellowship Chapel officiating. Samuel will be laid to rest at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
