Saloma Y. (Summy) Yoder, Jamestown, beloved wife of Albert P. Yoder, died at her residence surrounded by her family on Thursday afternoon, June 20, 2024.
She was born on January 9, 1968, in Meyersdale, PA, a daughter of the late Yost and Emma (Brenneman) Summy.
She is survived by her husband, Albert; two brothers, Daniel (Elmina), Summy, Oakland, MD. and Rudy (Emma), Summy, Vevay, IN; and five nieces. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her stepchildren: Mary (Ernest) Zook, Jamestown, Paul (Barbara) Yoder, Greenville, Amelia (Norman) Kinsinger, Berlin, PA, Pete (Lydia Mae) Yoder, Meyersdale, PA., Rachel (Henry) Yoder, Meyersdale, PA., Lewis (Ruth) Yoder, Dixon, MO, Floyd (Barbara) Yoder, Dixon, MO, Korie (Louise) Yoder, Oakland, MD., Laura (Eli) Summy, New Viena, IA, Ruth (Jonas) Miller, Milan, IN; 70 step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two stepsons, Danny and David, and a step-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 9:30 AM at the Amish Schoolhouse, 50 S. Maysville Road, Greenville, with Bishop Daniel Miller officiating. Saloma will be laid to rest at the Kinsman Amish Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amish Schoolhouse, 50 S. Maysville Road, Greenville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
