Rosemary Rhoads, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Quality Life Services, Mercer, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80.
Rosemary was born in New Bethlehem, PA on May 12, 1945. A daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Palaggo) Constable. She graduated from Red Bank Valley School in New Bethlehem in 1963 and went on to marry Ellwood K. Rhoads on October 21,1963.
Rosemary worked for and retired from AVON. She worked in District 370 and District 371 and was a District Sales Manager for 20 years. She was a member of the Moose, where she served as a Recorder and President for the WOTM. She was also a member of the Italian Home Club and attended St. Michael’s Church, Greenville.
She liked to spend her time reading and playing cards, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kristina Rhoads McCartney of Greenville; a son, Ellwood (Chip) Rhoads of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Kristi Henlen of Transfer, Abby Rhoads of Hermitage and Tony McCartney of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Scott Rhoads "Suzie" of Corsica and Terry Rhoads of Punxsutawney; and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Rhoads of Kentucky and Mrs. Michael (Sally) Jacquish of Cary, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Joseph Constable and his wife Jeanne Constable, and her son-in-law, Bruce McCartney.
A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Gramata as celebrant.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon time of the Mass in the Gathering Space at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA.
