Roger E. Cline, 72, of Hadley, Sandy Creek Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Greenville on November 12, 1951, the son of the late Gordon E. and Raceil (Rankin) Cline. On March 24, 1993, he married the former Marie Ann Young, who preceded him in death. Mr. Cline graduated from Commodore Perry High School in 1969 and then attended New Castle Business College, where he attained a degree in accounting.
Roger was a lifelong resident of the community and served as an elected Township Supervisor for Sandy Creek Township. He was a member of the Hadley Presbyterian Church. Roger enjoyed spending many hours in his boat fishing with his friends and enjoyed the faithful and loyal companionship of his dog “Sam”
He is survived by three brothers, James (Karen) Cline, Jeffrey (Lori) Cline, and Gary (Jennie) Cline, and four nieces and nephews, Jami, Brian, Amy, and Annie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marie.
A memorial service is anticipated to be held at a later date. Roger will be laid to rest next to his wife, Marie, at the Hadley Cemetery.
