Robert "Bob" S. Hazen

Robert "Bob" Hazen, 88, of Fredonia, PA. passed away on November 11, 2023, at his home after a brief illness, surrounded by family. He was born on April 29, 1935.   Bob was a beloved father. grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Bob is survived by his four children: Sam (Carol), Thomas (Terry), James (Vicky), and Lenora (Dean). Reider. He was also a cherished grandfather to Richard, Kyler, Alex, Nick, Allison, Neal, Ashley, Benjamin. and Logan and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Harry and Rebecca (Stewart) Hazen, his wife Elenora (Thomas). his brother Harry Jr, and his sister-in-law Lu (Elizabeth).

Bob grew up on the generational farm and graduated from Stoneboro High School with the class of 1953. After completing his education, he embarked on a successful career in International Farm equipment. Bob devoted nearly 40 years as a parts manager, working at J.R. Moore Farm Supply, Mercer, and D.R. Thompson Farm Supply, Greenville. His extensive knowledge and expertise made him a resident expert and walking parts catalog. Even in his final days, Bob could recall and assist with parts and repairs.

Outside of work. Bob had a variety of hobbies that brought him much joy and fulfillment. He was passionate about farming, camping, fishing, and travel. Together with his wife, Bob visited all 50 states. including spending an entire summer exploring Alaska. They also spent several years of retirement as camp hosts in Ruskin, Florida.

Bob will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his love for the outdoors. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work. kindness. and cherished memories.

The family will be privately honoring Bob’s life and following cremation he will be inurned along with his wife, Elenora at the Millbank Cemetery, Fredonia.
