Regis E. Reash, Hadley, Perry Twp. passed away Early Tuesday morning, April 15, 2025, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown. He was 83.
He was born on January 25, 1942, the son of the late Edward J. and Irene F. (McCann) Reash. He taught 6th grade for the Conneaut School District, at Greenwood Elementary School and East Fallowfield School. He also served as the acting principal and retired as a 4th-grade teacher. He was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Greenville.
Regis was very active with the local fairs in both Mercer and Crawford counties and also the Mercer County Grange Fair. In 2019, Mr. Reash was recognized as a "Friend of the Fair." He was a member of the Mercer County Pomana Grange and the New Vernon Grange # 608. He loved to square dance and raised goats and chickens through the years. Following his retirement, he worked at the Hadley Cemetery and with the East Fallowfield Twp. Road Department.
He is survived by two children, Aimee Reash, Meadville, and Louis Reash, Pittsburgh, and four brothers, Newt (Pat) Reash, Hadley, Phil (Linda) Reash, Hadley, Frank (Jean) Reash, Hazlet, NJ, and Brian (Cathy) Reash, Wright City, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral and committal service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville, with Deacon Marty Aubel of the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hadley Cemetery. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
