Paul Rodemoyer Obituary

Paul A. Rodemoyer, Mercer, Coolspring Twp. passed away Sunday evening, March 30, 2025, at Quality Life Services, Mercer. He was 82.

He was born in Mercer, on May 24, 1942, a son of the late Paul T. and Ester L. (Axe) Rodemoyer.  On January 14, 1960, he married the former Sue E. McCartney, who preceded him in death on May 16, 2021.  On March 30, 2025, he subsequently married the former Becky Cousins, who survives.  Paul had served honorably with the US Air Force as an inflight refueling Specialist.   He had been employed by the former Westinghouse Electric and then went on to drive for Yourga Trucking, Wheatland, from where he had retired. He was an active member of the Fredonia Lions Club, an avid hunter, and in his early years, enjoyed golfing.  Through the years, he found great enjoyment in riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, Becky, he is survived by his two sons, Paul A. Rodemoyer, Greenville and Scott E. (Marisol) Rodemoyer, Youngstown; his stepchildren, Marlene (Dave) Diefenderfer, Sharon, Wayne Glasser, Mark Glasser, Steve (Maxine) Glasser, Kirk (Vicky) Glasser, Keith Glasser, and Heath Glasser, all of Mercer. His brother, Bill (Lynn) Rodemoyer, of West Middlesex; four grandchildren, Jared McClure, Seth Rodemoyer and his girlfriend, Kayla, Vicky (Alex) Jones, and Alexandria (Dustin) Heldreth; 12 step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, Jesse Rodemoyer, Miranda Heldreth, Corrine Jones, Dominic Jones, and Grace Rodemoyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sue, a daughter, Sharene Moore, a granddaughter, Angelina Marie Rodemoyer, a sister, Shirley E. Herrick and a brother, Dick Rodemoyer.

The funeral and committal service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia, with Rev. Tina Keller, pastor of the Fredonia and Big Bend United Methodist Charge, officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Millbank Cemetery.  The visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.snyderfh.com
