Patricia A. Williams, Meadville (Vernon Twp.) passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, January 30, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center. She was 71.
She was born in Meadville on January 3, 1954, a daughter of the late Charles and Rosemary (Robinson) Walsh. On June 18, 1977, she married Lou Williams who survives.
Patricia was employed at Allegro Dance Arts, LLC as the office manager for over 20 years where she forged lifelong, meaningful relationships with countless dancers and families. Known by her dance family as Miss Patty or Big P, she prided herself on ensuring her smiling face greeted every child and adult who entered daily. Miss Patty made certain that those who knew her felt welcomed, appreciated, and valued. Her joyful spirit was never more evident than when she watched dancers quietly from the door beaming with elation. Miss Patty made it her mission to create a space filled with unwavering friendship and kindness.
Patty’s husband was her true soulmate whom she loved fiercely, freely, and unconditionally. She valued their time spent as one and was eternally grateful to have experienced lifelong companionship deeply rooted in unwavering devotion and affection. As they walked the path of life together, she found beauty in life’s simple moments and encouraged everyone to do the same. For decades, hand in hand, they gave each other purpose and prioritized solidarity. Their love was, and still is, timeless.
Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She lived in the service of others offering constant wisdom, support, warmth, and endearment. Patty has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate to know her. Her radiant smile was infectious. To all who knew her, she was a faithful friend and beacon of light as she meandered through life with unforgettable grace, resilience, and strength.
Patricia’s children were her entire world. She never missed a birthday and cherished every holiday. Moments with her family, no matter how big or small, filled her with immeasurable happiness. Everyone was welcomed at her table where she unselfishly shared food, drinks, enjoyable conversation, and undeniable laughter. Togetherness made her feel whole.
Patricia’s time spent with grandchildren overwhelmed her with joy. Grandma Pat spent innumerable hours at ball fields, gymnasiums, concerts, dance recitals, and other activities. Her grandchildren knew they could count on Gram to be there...for whatever it may have been. Oftentimes, sharing an ice-cold Coca-Cola or a bowl of ice cream was her day's highlight. Her youngest grandchild proclaimed her Mimi as her best friend. Patricia was the epitome of a Proud Grandma. Being a grandmother was a role she felt profoundly privileged to play and welcomed the noise, chaos, and energy grandchildren brought to her life.
To Patricia, life was about moments. She embodied generosity and compassion. To her family and friends, Patricia was warm sunshine wrapped in a giant hug. She made sure all who mattered to her knew it. To know her was to love her and she will be deeply missed by many.
She was a member of St. Brigid, Epiphany of the Lord Parish, Meadville. Her faith played a significant part in her life; in her early years, she taught Catholic religious education.
She is survived by her husband, Lou; her children, Christine (Fred) Garvey, Conneaut Lake, Brian Williams, Meadville, Jenna (Travis) Miller, Meadville, Kelly (Riikka) Williams, Finland, Carrie Williams and her partner, Josh, Meadville; two sisters, Kathy (David) Gray, Meadville and Judy (Randy) McHale, Meadville, three brothers, Charles (Karen) Walsh, Greenville, Todd (Stacey) Walsh, Saegertown and Tim Walsh, Meadville. 6 grandchildren, Owen and Evelyn Garvey, Vincent and Remy Williams, Myla and Marlee Miller and she was looking forward to the birth of a grandson in June.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas, Pastor, officiating. She will be laid to rest with private services at the Williams Cemetery, Cochranton. Friends and family are invited to visitation hours Tuesday at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 -8:00 PM.
