Minnie Weaver Schmucker, of Meadville, East Fairview Township, passed away Saturday evening at Meadville Medical Center with her family by her side. She was 80 years and 15 days old.
She was born in Middlefield, Ohio, on May 29, 1946, a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Katie (Troyer) Weaver.
On October 20, 1964, she married John Henry Schmucker. Together they shared 61 years, 7 months, and 24 days of marriage.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; her children, Vernon (Katie Miller) Schmucker, Laura Mae (Schmucker) Yoder, Carol (Eli) Troyer, Erma (Edwin) Yoder, Mark Schmucker, Chester (Clara Miller) Schmucker, Esther Schmucker, Ellen Schmucker, and Nancy Schmucker; her siblings, Elizabeth Ann Byler, Fannie (Andy J.) Miller, Sylvia (Eli) Byler, Sarah (Robert) Mast, Linda (Willis) Miller, John (Bertha) Weaver, Levi (Sarah) Weaver, David (Anna) Weaver, and Samuel (Alma) Weaver; as well as 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Crist Byler.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Plainview Gospel Fellowship, 29386 Guys Mills Road, Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, with Minister Steve Engbretson officiating. Minnie will be laid to rest in Plainview Gospel Fellowship Cemetery, Titusville.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, Pennsylvania.
