Mary Lee Holler, formerly of Perry Twp., Hadley, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, (or at Northview Estates, Ellwood City. She was 97.
Mary Lee was born in Sewickley on June 11, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Guenon) Striffler. She married Clarence R. Holler on July 31, 1948, and he preceded her in death in 2007. She graduated from Ambridge High School in 1945 and began working as an R.N. for Sewickley Valley Hospital. She later obtained a BSN from Penn State in 1973 and MNED from University of Pittsburgh in 1978. She worked for Warrendale Youth Development Center before becoming the school nurse at North Hills School District until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville, as well as the Sheakleyville “Forget me Nots” and Sigma Theta Tau.
She is survived by one son, George Holler, and wife Deborah of Fombell; a daughter-in-law, Gail Holler of Warrendale; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Holler (Kayla) and Lance Holler (Kim), and five great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Mason, Logan, Natalie, and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Clarence ‘Chick”, two sons, Duane Holler and Glenn Holler, a sister, Louise Yoos, and a brother, Edward Striffler.
No services will be held; she will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, PA.
