Mary Etta Brown, 95, of Clinton, TN, formerly of Hadley, passed away on Friday morning, December 5, 2025, with her family by her side at NHC Health Care in Oak Ridge, TN.
She was born in Deer Creek Twp. on December 1, 1930, a daughter of the late Dale and Myrtle Mae (Scofield) Turner. On August 27, 1955, she married Leo R. Brown, and she preceded her in death on January 14, 1990.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved music. She was an avid karaoke fan and especially loved participating and singing Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline songs.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Martha J. “Marti” Lesh, and her husband, Larry, Clinton, TN; her sister, Donna Ann Musoni, Hadley; 2 grandsons, Jeffrey D. Baker, Bean Station, TN, and Christopher S. Baker, Dansville, NY; 2 great-grandchildren, Dallas Baker, Dansville, NY and Logan Baker, Knoxville, Tn.
Mary also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and, over the years, has acquired children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren through her blended families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 34 years, Leo R. Brown; a son, Roger Brown; a sister, Leora Mae Hays; and a brother, Francis D. Turner.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Etta will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Greenfield Cemetery, Atlantic. The visitation will be on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
