Mary Keiser Obituary

Mary Jane Keiser, Perry Twp, Clarks Mills passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family at 12:45 am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.  She was 79.

Mary Jane was born in Lake Twp., on June 8, 1943, a daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel (Thompson) McCartney.  On October 31, 1966, she married William C. Hudson who preceded her in death on September 26, 2001.  She subsequently married Marion R. “Ray” Keiser, Jr. on December 20, 2003, who survives.  Mary Jane had been a waitress for many years at various local restaurants and later was a homemaker.  She enjoyed quilting and enjoyed the friendships she made through her quilting clubs, IQ Quilting and Undercover Girls, Cochranton.  She is remembered by her family as being a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Attending garage sales and flea markets was a favorite activity

In addition to her husband Ray, she is survived by her children, Carol Howard, Springfield, Oregon, Brenda Chisholm, Fredonia, Robin (Clem) Clevenger, Clarks Mills, Billie Jane (Joe) Swope, Greenville, Richard (Tess) Hudson, Clarks Mills, Samuel “Joe” (Lyn) Chisholm, Greenville, and Steve (Amy) Chisholm, Hadley; Stepchildren, Winnie Darrell, Chambersburg, Karman Trabucco, San Antonio, Tx, Daniel Keiser, Elizabethville, Marion Ray Keiser, III, Cochranton, Michael Keiser, Berrysburg, Quincy Keiser, Jamestown, David Keiser, Pottsville; 3 sisters, Phylis (Glendon) Harry, Cochranton, Sandra Eckart, Saegertown, Donna Hartman. Stoneboro: 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Rhoda McCartney; her husband William, a son Timothy Hudson; a brother James C. McCartney, a sister, Shirley Slater, a daughter-in-law, Lisa Chisholm and a stepdaughter, Anita Keiser

The funerals service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Eric Peters, pastor of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.   A video tribute may be viewed and memories and condolences shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
