Mark E. Gregory

Mark E. Gregory, Greenville, Salem Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his residence.  He was 62.

Mark was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania, on June 5, 1963, a son to the late Ronald C. and Emagene Mae (nee Torrence) Gregory.  He had attended Commodore Perry High School and went on to be employed in the tool and die trade in the Meadville area, and then worked for Salt Painting, Saegertown, until becoming disabled.  An avid outdoorsman, Mark found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature. Whether it was deer hunting in the quiet of the woods, snowmobiling through the crisp winter air, or casting a line into the tranquil waters while fishing, he embraced these activities with a passion. Mark's love for the outdoors was a testament to his appreciation for life's simple pleasures.

In his moments of reflection, Mark found comfort in reading the Bible, and his faith was further enriched by his recent attendance at the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Left to cherish his memory, are his longtime companion of 32 years, Carolyn A. Averitte; three sisters, Carol (Bill) Reeder, Spokane, WA, Gwen Gregory, Greenville and Beth (Don) Tanner, Greenville; four brothers, Reese (Darlene) Gregory, Hadley, Kenneth Gregory, Clarks Mills, Daryl (Brenda) Gregory, Hadley and Fred (Michelle) Gregory, Polk—many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Esther Stancovic, and a brother, Clifton Gregory.

Cremation has been chosen as the disposition. He will be laid to rest at the Greenfield Cemetery, Atlantic. A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
