Lillian M. Pearce of Hadley (Sandy Creek Twp.) passed away Monday evening, March 29, 2021 at UPMC Jameson, New Castle. She was 85.
Born on December 8, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Jessie (McGranahan) Free. On May 21, 1955 she married her husband of 60 years, Paul E. Pearce who preceded her in death on August 29, 2015. In addition to being a homemaker, Lillian sold Beeline Clothing and had been employed at the Commodore Perry School District working in the cafeteria.
Lillian was a member of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She also spent time offering support to colostomy patients through UPMC, Horizon, Greenville.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Pearce and his wife Cindy of Greenville and Kelvin Pearce and his wife Norma of Cortland, OH; a daughter, Korene Rooks and her husband Bill of Hadley; a sister, Jessie June Holzapfel and her husband Roy of Hadley; ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Paul; a son, Kevin Pearce; a daughter, Kathy Pearce; a son in law William Frye; three brothers, Harold Free, Lloyd Free and her twin brother Fred Free; two sisters, Jenny Mae Breese and Evelyn Heckman.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy, Sheakleyville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00-8:00 pm and Friday 10:00 am-11:00 am time of service with Rev. Janice Good, pastor of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Hadley Cemetery.
