Larry D. Riggs

Larry D. Riggs, Meadville (Vernon Twp.) passed away unexpectedly of natural causes early Thursday evening, January 23, 2020 at the UPMC – Hamot, Erie.  He was 68.

Larry was born in Corsica, PA on August 29, 1951 a son of the late Lewis and Ruth (Aikins) Riggs.  Larry had been formerly employed by Lord, Corporation, Saegertown prior to his becoming disabled.  He was a member of Vernon Central Station 23 and Cochranton Station 4 and Trout Unlimited.  Larry enjoyed the out doors whether it be camping hunting or fishing.  He would often return to the Youngsville area to visit with his friends and enjoyed many trips to Benzette to view and appreciate the elk over the years.  He enjoyed keeping active and was a sports enthusiast watching anything sports related on TV.

He survived by a brother Thomas and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Gwenda Goughnour and Roberta Ruth Haslett

Respecting the wishes of Larry, no services will be held.  Following cremation he will be laid to rest next to his parents at the Youngsville Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
