Kathleen “Kate” E. Visniesky, Mercer (Jefferson Twp.) peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior with her daughters by her side on Monday evening, August 30, 2021, at the UPMC Jamison, New Castle. She was 67.
She was born on October 13, 1953, a daughter of the late William L. and Charlotte (Wonner) McDivitt. On April 8, 1978, she married Gary A. Visniesky who survives. Kate had been employed as a nurse’s aide at the former Greenville Hospital and later at the former Mercer County Home. In her later years, she had been employed as a secretary for Family Health Care Partners, Grove City from which she had retired.
She was an active member of the Crossroad Christian Fellowship, Greenville where she enjoyed her participation in the Women’s Bible Study group. She loved her family dearly and appreciated and cherished the times she could share with her grandchildren. In addition to her church activities, Kate enjoyed gardening, all types of needle work and going to the gym.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; her three children, Jill M. (Todd V.) Miscovich, Uniontown, Lynn A. (Rob J.) Morrow, Mercer, and Gregory A. Visniesky and his girlfriend Jessica M. Swope, Stoneboro; her five grandchildren, Trinity R. Miscovich, Alexis M. Friedl, Kayla L. Visniesky, Gage C. Christie and Lena W. Christie; a sister, Barbara A. (Alan C.) Mountain, Edinboro and two brothers, William C. McDivitt and James R. (Paula) McDivitt, Polk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William L. and Charlotte (Wonner) McDivitt Rosenberg; two brothers, Gerald McDivitt and Lloyd McDivitt and two sisters, Donna McDivitt and Irene McDivitt.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Crossroad Christian Fellowship Church, 805 Vernon Road, Greenville with Pastor Todd Jaussen officiating. Kate will be laid to rest at the Millbank Cemetery, Fredonia. Family and friends may call at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Friday at the church from 10:00 am until 10:45 am.
