Karen F. (Wright) Geiger

Karen F. Geiger, Cochranton, Canal Twp. passed away early Friday morning, December 19, 2025, at the Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.  She was 76.

Karen was born in Fredonia, PA, on January 23, 1949, a daughter of the late Donald and Faith (Crowe) Wright.  She was a graduate of Lakeview High School. On December 26, 1969, she married Berhardt D. Geiger, and they were one week shy of their 56th anniversary.  Karen had been a homemaker and had worked as a medical secretary.  Karen was a staunch supporter of her husband and his soldiers during his 20-plus years of service in the US Army and was a fervent advocate for those who served their country. She dedicated much of her time and energy to supporting POW and Military organizations, touching the lives of many who served with her empathy and activism. Karen's leadership and commitment were recognized through her involvement as a member and past officer of the auxiliary of the Franklin VFW Post 1805.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Bernhardt, her three children, David Lawrence Geiger and his wife Bethany, N. Ridge, OH, Jennifer Fay Jones and her husband, Kevin, West Middlesex and Jeannette Kay Walizer and her husband Darrin, Meadville.; three brothers, Robert Wright, Lawton, OK, Ronald Wright, Stoneboro and Kenenth Wright and his wife Linda, Mercer and four grandchildren, David Lee Woods, Sierra Dawn Troisi, Dennis Albert Jones, and Charlotte Grace Geiger.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia.  Karen will be laid to rest at the Millbank Cemetery, Fredonia.
