June Hays Obituary
June E. Hays, Conneaut Lake (Greenwood Twp.) passed away early Sunday morning, January 26, 2025, at the Meadville Medical Center. She was 80.
She was born in Meadville on December 4, 1944, a daughter of the late Roy and Audrey (Britton) Grinnell. June was a homemaker and, in her earlier years, was an active part of the Greenwood Twp. Vol. Fire Department, where she had been vice president and an EMT and Squad captain. She was also active with the Department’s Lady’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by two children, Edward (Rhonda) Hays, Atlantic, and Kimberly (Fudd) Bailey, Conneaut Lake, a brother, Donald “Duck” Grinnell, Meadville; 5 grandchildren, Ryan (Heather) Hays, Conneaut Lake, Amber Hays, Atlantic, Audrey Hays, Atlantic, Renee (Daryl) Miller, Conneaut Lake, Gert (Jason) Harvey, Conneaut Lake; 8 great-grandchildren, Kaidence Hays, Huxley Sanderson, Ryley Mitchell, Devin Miller, Gauge Miller, Mason Miller and Cooper and Lyla Harvey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Hays; two infant sisters, Betty and Doris Grinnell; three sisters, Shirley Cole, Mary Green, and Barbara Grinnell; and a brother, William Grinnell.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, concluding with the sharing of memories. She will be laid to rest at the Greenfield Cemetery, Atlantic with private family services.
