On the evening of 6 March 2026, Judy Irwin entered into Heaven while her husband was at her side in her home in Hadley, PA. She was 79 years old.
Judy was born in Mercer, PA, to Viola and Donald Buchanan. She was raised by Florence and Thomas Black from the age of 5 days old in Meadville, PA. She met her husband, Leslie "Les" Irwin, in 1963 while at a 4H function at Penn State. In 1966, Judy and Les were married. While raising her two daughters, Julie and Sally, she was a dedicated homemaker who taught Sunday school and was a Vacation Bible School teacher, and was active in the Commodore Perry School District PTA. Judy loved to read mystery novels, solve cryptograms, and bowl.
She is survived by her husband Les, daughter Julie (Larry and family), daughter Sally, granddaughter Staci (Joe and family), grandson Johnathan, great granddaughter Destini, niece Linda (Gary and family), close family friend Cheryl (son Porter), and many extended loved ones.
A viewing will be held at 6 P.M., and a public memorial service will begin at 7 P.M. on 20 March 2026, at Perry Baptist Church 3020, Hadley Rd. Hadley, PA, 16130.
Judy will be laid to rest at the Delaware Cemetery, Fredonia.
