Juanita (Groover) Osborn

Juanita Osborn, Greenville, Salem Twp. passed away early Wednesday morning, December 21, 2022, at Avalon Springs Place, Mercer. She was 93.

She was born in Shenango on September 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Lamont and Stella (Billig) Groover.  On May 29, 1947, she married Robert Osborn who preceded her in death on November 24, 2007.  Mrs. Osborn had been employed at the former Greenville Hospital as an LPN, following her retirement she went on to be employed by the White cliff Nursing Home.  She had previously attended the North Salem United Methodist Church.   Throughout the years she had assisted in the daily operation of the family farm and enjoyed canning and cooking.  She cherished the times that she was able to be with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Salene (John) Cowher, Cambridge Springs, Robin Colley and her companion, John Gory, Sharpsville, Stasha Campbell, Slippery Rock, and Billie Zoe Osborn and her husband Bill Garman, Philadelphia.  7 grandchildren, Chris (Claire) Osborn, Greenville, Ryan Burns, Sharpsville, Brandon (Brittany) Burns, Jamestown, Dylan Garman, Philadelphia, Roderick Cowher, Cambridge Springs, Jacob Campbell, OK, and Joei Campbell, Butler and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 brothers, Jerry Groover, Ed Groover, and Lamont Groover, and two sisters, Ione Stone and Aloha Reigleman.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022, at 7:00 pm with Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Stevenson Cemetery, Greenville.
