Joesph Carl Kerekes, Sandy Creek Twp., Greenville died as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Sandy Creek Twp. on Monday evening, July 24, 2023. He was 42.
He was born in Sharon on October 20, 1980, a son of Stephen and Pearl (Edinger) Kerekes, Jr. Joe had been employed through the years, as a farm hand for Sapala’s Farms, worked as a tree cutter often assisting his brother, Stephen, had been employed at the former, ECS&R, Cochranton, CMI, Hadley, the Hermitage and Greenville Walmart’s and most recently would be found transporting the local Amish community.
He is remembered by his family for his great sense of humor, always able to make the best of any situation. He enjoyed doing imitations and parodies, just to get people to laugh.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Pearl, Greenville; his siblings, Stephen Kerekes, III, Greenville, Luella Sexton and her husband James, Masury, OH and Jessica Long and her husband Robert, Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Daniel Kerekes; his grandparents, David and Marie Edinger and Stephen and Mary Kerekes, Sr.
