Jason E. Greggs, Sheakleyville passed away Thursday afternoon at the West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 29.
Jason was born in Greenville, on June 3, 1992, a son of Leroy E. and Carol L. (Johnston) Greggs. He was a 2010 graduate of the Commodore Perry High School. He had been employed by Brown Towing and Repair, Inc, Greenville as a flat bed operator and was formerly employed by Viking Tool and Gage, Conneaut Lake. Jason was a pulling enthusiast, who enjoyed pulling with his garden tractor with the Allegheny Highland Pulling Association and recently had begun pulling with his truck. He also enjoyed participating in local demolition derby’s and was a team member of the Hetrick Demo Derby Team. He was an active member of the Sheakleyville Community Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a fire police. He was affiliated with the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Carol L. Greggs, Sheakleyville; two sisters, Jessica (Brad) Gaston, Mercer and Shelly (George) Richards, Greenville; his grandmothers, Viola Mae Rath, Meadville and Ruby Johnston, Hadley; his aunts and uncles, Sandra (Mark) Jones, Hadley, Dianne (Gary) Miller, Sharpsville, Robert (Linda) Johnston, Hadley, Chris Johnston, Hadley, Barb (David) Huffman, Clarks Mills, Carol Greggs, Hadley, Ronnie (Peggy) Greggs, Hadley and Melissa (Jason) Wright, Vermont. Jason enjoyed being an uncle to his 4 nephews, James Silvis, Jr., Jordan Silvis, Tanner Gaston and Titus Gaston.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy E. Greggs and his grandfathers, Samuel Johnston, David Greggs and George Rath and an Uncle Rodney Johnston.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Theresa A. Robinson, pastor of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church officiating. Jason will be laid to rest next to his father at the Hadley Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
