Janet Blair Obituary

Janet Arlene Connelly Blair of Cranberry Twp. passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, August 24, 2025, at her cherished summer residence at Vacationland Campground in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania. At the age of 81.

Janet's early career as an airline stewardess with Northwest Orient Airlines enabled her to explore the skies and meet people from diverse backgrounds. Her passion for fashion and entrepreneurship led her to open her own clothing store, Wexford Fashion Outlets, where she shared her impeccable taste and warm customer service with the community. Janet's career journey eventually brought her to McDonald's Corporation, from which she retired, carrying with her the same dedication and work ethic that characterized her entire professional life.

In retirement, Janet found solace and joy at Vacationland Campground, her summer haven. There, she spent countless hours in the company of her family and friends, forging memories that would last a lifetime. Janet's love for nature was evident in her fondness for birds, often taking time to watch and appreciate their beauty and the tranquility they brought to her days. In addition, she had raised pet birds that would ultimately rule her life.

Janet's loving nature extended beyond her family to include many who considered her an adopted grandmother. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and she became a cherished figure in the lives of those around her. She is survived by her son, Jamey (Kat); her brother, Terry (Diane); and her sister, Tracy. Her role as an aunt and cousin was one she embraced with all her heart, and the void she leaves will be deeply felt by the numerous lives she has impacted.

A celebration of Janet's  life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vacationland Campground, located at 867 Georgetown Road, Sandy Lake, PA 16145. It will be a time to share stories, laughter, and tears as we honor a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to the power of love and adventure. Janet will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those she has left behind.
