Helen F. (Bartholomew) Scott

Helen F. Scott, Sheakleyville passed away at her residence on Monday, February 1, 2021.  She was 82.

Helen was born in Springfield Twp. on December 3,1938 a daughter of the late Sylvester and Florence (Reheer) Bartholomew.  She was a 1957 graduate of the Grove City High School. On March 10, 1962 she married Lyle M. “Gomer” Scott who had preceded her in death on May 13, 2012.  Helen was a homemaker and prior to her marriage had been employed at the former G.C. Murphy, Co., Mercer.  She was an avid bingo player, Helen could often be found working outdoors and tending to her gardening activities, she enjoyed her cats and through the years, raising chickens and rabbits.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Scott and his wife Michele, Hadley; a daughter in law, Daphney Scott, Clarks Mills; a grandson, Luke A. Scott, Hadley and a sister Mary Partridge, Clarks Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Lyle M. Scott, II; a sister, Betty Murdock and a brother, Robert E. Bartholomew.

The funeral and committal service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.  Helen will be laid to rest at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and may share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.  The wearing of facial masks is encouraged.
