Gregg Markulin Obituary

Gregg A. Markulin, Oakdale (Collier Twp.) Pennsylvania passed away at 10:24 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022, at the UPMC, Jameson, New Castle.  He was 66.

Gregg was born in Pittsburgh on January 4, 1956, a son of the late Charles and Sarah (McAfoos) Markulin. On July 10, 1982, he married the former June L. Hutchison who survives.  Gregg was a talent self-taught Chef working at the Hyatt and Doubletree Hotels, Pittsburgh.  He had a passion for cooking anything, anywhere for anyone. In addition to his culinary skills, Gregg had also obtained a degree as an electrician.  Gregg’s pastime included time spent with his family and riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, June, he is survived by his two daughters, Barb Martin, Fredonia and Marcy Naughton, Sharon; two sisters, Gail Thompson, Washington, D.C., Karen Bataglia, PA and a brother, Dan Markulin,, TX and 8 grandchildren, Cody, Martin, Nikki McQuaide, Kayla Boscia, Tyler Schaffer, Taylor Naughton, Andy Podobinski, James Naughton, Jr, Nicholas Naughton and Noel Naughton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 7:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Pastor John Canon, officiating.
