Gertrude N. Miller, Meadville, age 69 passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 following a period of declining health. She was 69.
Gertrude was born in Middlefield, OH on June 22, 1952, a daughter of the late Dan E. and Amanda Mae (Mast) Miller. Gertrude has been employed for many years as a cook at the Perkins Restaurant and then went onto work as a nurse’s aide and did home health care. As a hobby she always enjoyed making crafts and is remembered by her family for her amazing cooking and baking skills. She enjoyed the companionship of her cat, Kiki. She had previously attended the Living Waters Church, Meadville.
She is survived by 7 sisters, Barbara Reynolds and her husband Gene of Lee, Fl., Mary Peck and her husband Joe of Holladay, Tn, Kathy Miller of Meadville, Dorothy Wagler and her husband Gerald of Heron, MT, Miriam Miller of Heron, MT., Marian Delp and her husband Art of David City, NE, Marsha Snell and her husband Bobby, Dawson City, KY, 4 brothers, Dan Miller and his wife Barbara of Russellville, KY, Mahlon Miller and his wife Betty of Meadville, Allen Miller and his wife Loretta of Seracy, AR and Paul Bender and his wife Lori, Cochranton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James O. Miller and 4 sisters, Emma Miller, Nancy Miller, Amanda Miller and Laura Arnold.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Pleasantview Conservative Mennonite Church, County Line Road, Cochranton with ministers Paul Miller and Marvin Coblentz officiating. The interment and committal service will follow at the Grace Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Pleasantview Mennonite Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
