Gertrude E. Bowser, Hadley, (Perry Twp.) Hadley passed away early Wednesday morning, March 24, 2021 at the Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville. She was 84.
She was born in Kittanning, PA. on March 21, 1937 a daughter of the late Alfred and Hazel Smith. On August 6, 1955 she married Robert G. Bowser who preceded her in death on November 29, 2012. Mrs. Bowser had been a homemaker and had been employed in the cafeteria department of Commodore Perry School District for twelve years.
She is survived by a daughter, Sondra Vosler and her husband Tom, Greenville; two sons, Randall Bowser and his wife LeeAnn, Sheakleyville and Daniel Bowser and his wife Pam, Hadley; two sisters, Sara Claypole, State College and Nancy Shutters, Kittanning; 5 grandchildren, Krysty Zarecky and her husband Chris, Hadley, Shannon Deal and her husband John, Hadley, Robert Bowser and his wife Paige, Cochranton, Heather Gula and her husband Brian, Girard and Justin Vosler, Greenville and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years; a brother, Thomas Smith and two sisters, Ruth and Glenna Smith.
Private services will be held for the family. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Robert at the Hadley Cemetery.
