Georgia M. Long, age 90, Sandy Lake, Deer Creek Twp. passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday evening, December 14, 2025, following a period of failing health.
She was born in Linesville, PA, on October 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Bradford) Gallant. On August 31, 1959, she married Orrie Umberto Long, Sr., and she preceded her in death on February 19, 2011. Mrs. Long was a homemaker, raising her children and assisting her husband on the family dairy farm in Deer Creek Twp. She was a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church, Sandy Lake, the former New Vernon Grange, and the Pennsylvania Grange Association.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Orrie U. Long, Jr. and his wife Janet, Sandy Lake, Cathleen Long, Newell, PA, Leica Sciulli and her husband Tony, Pittsburgh, Kimberly Long–Bowers, Pittsburgh, and Marylou Bartholomew, Latrobe; 10 grandchildren, Laura, Ashley, Danielle, Sharon, Jocelyn, Tim, Luchianno, Kenny, Mason and Leonard and many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and was the last of her siblings.
The family will honor Georgia's life with private family services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
