George A. Weaver, 93 of Homosassa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025, at the Tampa General North Hospital, Brooksville, Florida.

Born on September 2, 1932, in the Bronx, New York, to the late Thomas and Esther [Reininger] Weaver, George was married to the former Betty Mecklem on May 9, 1950, and together they shared 62 years of devoted and loving marriage.  George was employed by Tennessee Gas Pipeline for several decades, where he retired as a pipeline foreman and inspector, and was preceded in death by his beloved wife on November 7, 2012.

Before locating to Spring Hill, Florida, George and his wife resided in Fredonia, Pennsylvania, for 15 years, where they were faithful members of Fredonia United Methodist Church.  They also previously resided in Eden, New York, for 30 years, and Upstate New York for 5 years.  George and Betty were also previous members of North Cliff Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Florida.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Richard (Mary) Weaver of Florida and Raymond Weaver; a brother, James Weaver, of Sharpsville; a sister, Mary Ann Shaffer, of New Wilmington; sister-in-law Gloria Weaver of Mercer, and two grandchildren, Melissa Dilley (Kevin) of Tennessee and Jeremy Tschaepe (Jennifer) of Maryland. He was also dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his four great-grandchildren, Jake (Anna Grace), Alex and Cody of Tennessee, and Carter and Bennett of Maryland, and great-great-granddaughter, Aspen, in Tennessee.

The funeral service to honor his life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia. Rev. Tina Keller, pastor of the Fredonia United Methodist Church, will officiate.
