Garrett L. Valimont

Garrett L. Valimont, Fredonia passed away Thursday evening, May 5, 2022, at the UPMC-Horizon, Shenango Valley following a courageous 9-year battle with cancer.  He was 41.

Garrett was born in Greenville on March 11, 1981, a son of Keith and Cynthia (Anderson) Valimont.  He was a 1999 graduate of Reynolds High School.  On August 7, 2009, he married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Jen Lawrence.  Garrett was a member of Local # 268 and was the superintendent at PJ Dick Corporation, Pittsburgh.

He had a love and passion for snowmobiles and enjoyed not only riding, but also repairing and fixing them up.  He enjoyed the annual trips with his wife and family to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for snowmobile riding, Newberry, MI was his second home.  He loved his animals, Frank, Max, Rev and had a fondness of his cat, Indy.

In addition to his wife, Jen, he is survived by his parents, Keith and Cynthia Valimont, Fredonia; his siblings, Becky (Kevin) Ritzert, Butler and Tyler (Danielle) Valimont, West Middlesex; his father-in-law, Larry Lawrence, Greenville; 5 nieces and nephews, Anderson Graham, Jennifer Graham, Helana Graham, Jacoby Valimont and TJ Valimont; a group of adoring in laws, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sandi Lawrence and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 3:00 PM, at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church, Water Street, Fredonia.  Family and friends may call at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia on Monday, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday at the church from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.
