Frederick E. Herrick

Frederick E. Herrick, Fredonia passed away at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the UPMC Horizon, Greenville following a brief illness.  He was 73.

Fred was born in Grove City on September 26, 1948, a son of William Hice and Olive Millicent (Fischer) Herrick.  On December 23, 1970, he married the former Shirley E. Rodemoyer who preceded him in death on November 21, 2017. He had been employed by Champion Truck Builders, Hermitage from which he retired.  He was a member of the Sheakleyville Nazarene Church.   Fred enjoyed the companionship of his dog “Lily”, he liked to fish when time permitted and had enjoyed camping at Camp Wilhelm over the years with his wife Shirley where they enjoyed the many camping friends that they had met.

He is survived by a son, Edward G. Herrick and a brother, Leroy Herrick.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Shirley.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia.  The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Lisa Grabb, pastor of the Sheakleyville Nazarene Church officiating.  He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife at the Millbank Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.
