Frank Eugene Rough

Frank Eugene Rough, Meadville (Vernon Twp.) passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was 61.

Frank was born in Meadville on September 2, 1960, a son to Franklin Dewey and Jacqueline Lou (Roberts) Rough.  Eugene, as he was known to his family and friends was a graduate of the Meadville High School Class of 1978 and went on to serve honorably as a Sgt in the U.S. Air Force.  He attended Pitt Community College and Ferrum College where he studied Business Administration. He was a Chef and had been employed with the Meadville Salvation Army.  Frank was a born again Christian and is remembered by his family for his adventurous nature, having hitch hiked his way across the country in his younger years.  He possessed a great sense of humor and was loved and appreciated by those who knew him.  In his later years he would look after and care for his parents.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Jackie Rough, Meadville; a son Ryan Burke; his sister, Lisa (Rob) Shoemaker, Irons, MI; a sister-in-law, Robin L. Rough, Lakeland, FL.; his best friend, Tom Mullen, Carlton; 2 granddaughters, Brianna and Paige Burke; his nieces and nephews, Kayla Pope, Shaker Heights, OH, Steve (Leslie) Rough, Lexington, SC and Travis W. McConnaghy, Erie and 2 great nieces, Annabelle Anna Rough and Alicen Eaglehouse.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Allan C. Rough..
