Elnora M. Peters, Hadley, Salem Twp. went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2023, at the Meadville Medical Center. She was 97.
She was born on September 19, 1926, the daughter of the late William Albert and Cora Mae (Booher) Maurice. On April 11, 1946, she married William J. Peters who preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 2000. Elnora was a homemaker, raising her children and prioritizing her family's needs. She was a member of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, where she enjoyed attending the services and the fellowship with her church family.
She is survived by her children, Spencer John (Shirley) Peters, Cooperstown, PA, Priscilla (Robert) Blake, Jr., S. Boston, VA and Beverly (Deano) McNeil, Medina, OH; a sister, Lucille Williams, Atlantic; a brother, Gerald (Judy) Maurice, SC; a sister in law, JoAnn Maurice, Warren, PA, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Dr. Stanley William Peters, and a granddaughter, Christy L. Rodger.
Private family services were held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating. She was laid to rest next to her husband, William at the Hadley Cemetery.
