E. Frances (Curtis) Elliott

(Eliza) Frances Elliott (99) of Mercer, PA passed away peacefully with family present October 29, 2022. Born in 1923 in a log cabin on "Bull Run Creek", Clark County, KY to Leoff and Alice Curtis ..

She is survived by daughter Yutonia Horton Armstrong (John), two grandson's Justin Neeson (Vickie) and Christopher Watson, two Step-Grandson's John Armstrong II (Susan) and Jim Armstrong (Lori) four grand-children Abbie Watson, Joe Watson, Baileigh Watson, and Jarred Watson. One Step-daughter Linda Drumm (John), one Step-grand-daughter Spring Champeau (Piwi), two step-great grand-daughters and two step-great-great grand- children. Brother, Oscar Boyd Curtis (Bettie) of Omaha, Nebraska is now the only surviving sibling

Frances worked at Rath Pork Products in Waterloo, Iowa during WWII as a payroll Clerk. After marrying Joe Horton (deceased) she moved to Middletown, Ohio with him and worked many years at Middletown Regional Hospital in payroll and accounts payable. Following a divorce, she married Marion Elliott (deceased) and remained in the Middletown area until moving to Seminole, FL In June 2020 she came to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Mercer, PA (in a log cabin .... ironically).

"Granny" Frances was dearly loved by all for her humor, good sportsmanship, and support of her family. She was always there for her mother, 9 brothers and sisters, as well as her daughter, grand-children, and step- family.

A celebration of Frances' life will take place July 22, 2023, the day before what would have been her 100th birthday (place to be determined but near Middletown, OH.)

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to Family Hospice, 3124 Wilmington Rd, New Castle, PA 16105. They were so good to her and the family.
