Dorothy J. (Pinkerton) Wagner

Dorothy J. Wagner, formerly of Hadley, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon at St. John’s Specialty Care in Mars, Pennsylvania, where she had been residing. She was 90 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Leon and Dorothy J. (Mock) Pinkerton. On July 9, 1960, she married Alvin J. Wagner. They shared nearly 65 years of marriage before his passing on June 5, 2025.

Dorothy was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family. She was also a faithful member of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Susan (David) Rodgers of Polk; her son, Matthew (Stacey) Wagner of Cranberry Township; four beloved grandchildren, Andy (Stacy) Payne, Brian (Stephanie) Payne, Erika (Ryan) Baumgartner, and Spencer (Madison Kranis) Wagner; and three great-grandchildren, Gavin Payne, Riley Payne, and Scarlett Payne.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Pinkerton.

Private family services will be held Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, with Rev. Janice Good, pastor of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sheakleyville Cemetery.
