Donna L. (Moon) Ryland

Donna L (Moon) Ryland, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on August 12, 2024. She was born August 30, 1932, to Robert Wilson Moon and Anna Harriet Hepting-Moon in Fredonia, Pa.

She loved her sixty-two years of marriage to Pastor G. Donald Ryland and has missed him since his death on May 4, 2011.

She was a homemaker and a great example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She cared for her husband and children with a loving and caring heart. She also served and cared for many missionaries, pastors, and evangelists during the 53 years her husband was Pastor of Calvary Fellowship Chapel.

She enjoyed canning, jigsaw puzzles, crafting, quilting, and embroidering.

She is survived by a son, Paul (Laura) Ryland, Mercer; five daughters, Judi (Denny) Newbold, Mercer; Joyce (Dale) Toth, Fredonia; Julie (Andy) Roberts, Mercer; June Ryland, Crown Point, Ind; and Jackie (Tim) Jewell, who took great care of her since the passing of her husband, Fredonia; and also Jane Ferguson, Mercer, whom she thought of as a daughter; and eighteen grandchildren: Curtis(Julianne) Ryland; Rachel Ryland; Rebekah (Ryan) Henretty; Christy (Jordan) Jewell; Jadene (Doug) Van Dorn; Shawna  (Chad) Loeblein; Garrett (Linda) Newbold; Scott (Emily) Toth; Douglas (Liz) Toth; Brian (Miranda) Toth; Joshua (Stephanie) Toth; Caleb (Jessica) Toth; Jacob (Bethany) Toth; Promise (Braden) Byler; Seth (Amber) Toth; Charity Bell; Miracle Jewell; and Gabrielle Jewell; fifty-two great-grandchildren; and six great, great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson-in-law, David Hathaway; a brother, James Casteel; four sisters, Adelaide (Harold) McKenny; Roberta (Fred) Wohlgemuth; Verna (William) Carter; Joan "Betty" (Ed) Benton; and an adopted sister Charlene Smith.

She was loved by many and will be in our hearts forever.

The funeral and committal service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Fellowship Chapel, 1033 N. Perry Hwy., Mercer. Mrs. Ryland will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at the Millbank Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday (08/23)  from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with an additional hour of visitation on Saturday from Noon until the time of service.

The Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
