Donna M. (Clark) Hartman, formerly of Greenville and New Castle passed away at 10:25 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Avalon Springs Place, Mercer where she had been a resident. She was 89.
Donna was born in Erie on August 1, 1930 a daughter of the late Carleton Spencer and Catharine Mary (Dillaman) Allen. In July 1949 she married Samuel B. Clark and subsequently married Robert Hartman. She had been employed by the former Greenville Hospital and then with Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle from which she had retired. She was a member of the New Covenant E.P. Church, New Castle.
Donna loved flowers and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds. She was gifted with the ability to create many landscape areas that she would use to accent her lawn.
She is survived by her four daughters, Dianne J. Thompson, Hadley, Claudia S. Sullivan and her husband Lonnie, Sheakleyville, Kathie A. Dale and her husband Bill, Oil City and Lauretta J. Fisher and her husband Mark, Greenville; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a son, Kenny Clark; 2 brothers, Harold and Arnold Allen; a sister, Laurel Bates and a son in law, Frank R. Thompson, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with her pastor Chris Curtis of the New Covenant E.P. Church officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Stevenson Cemetery.
