Donald L. Connell

Donald L. Connell, Greenville (Hempfield Twp.) formerly of Perry Twp. passed away early Tuesday morning, July 11, 2023, At the UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 82.

Donald was born in Grove City on July 6, 1941 a son of the late Harold and Mary (Smith) Connell. He was employed as the music teacher at Commodore Perry where he met his wife the former Linda L. Padula who he married on August 20, 1966, she preceded him in death on March 15, 2021. While at Commodore Perry, Mr. Connell was also a basketball and softball coach. He also worked along side his wife operating the Moonlight Summer Theater from 1993 - 1997. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Shelli) L. Eisenman and her husband James, Tionesta; a son Aaron D. Connell and his wife Rachel, New Castle; 6 grandchildren, Hunter, Kirin, Ian and Connor Bean and Gwendolynn and Helaina Connell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. Private family services will be held on Friday with John Kerr, family friend officiating. Donald will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Hadley Cemetery.
