Diane Reed-Lineman of Fredonia, PA passed away peacefully on December 13, 2022, after a long, courageous, and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born on August 25, 1955, in Long Beach, CA to Richard Perkins Sr. and Patricia Perkins-Findley.
Diane worked as a nursing aide and an activity aide in the Alzheimer’s Unit throughout her 27 years at the former White Cliff nursing home in Greenville. She lived the life of a true optimist, always smiling and enjoying the time she was given. She had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile and deeply loved her family and her animals. Her passions early in life included raising farm animals and gardening and later in life expanded to photography, movie date nights, and hunting and fishing
Diane is survived by her husband Ron Lineman, with whom she shared 11 wonderful years of marriage, son David ‘JR’ (Cindy) Reed Jr., two stepdaughters, Stephanie (Kyle) Herron and Stacy (Alan) Schwartz, her mother, five brothers Richard (Laurie) Perkins, Randy (Kathleen) Perkins, Rodney (Allison) Perkins, Rory (Diana) and Rex (Renee) Perkins, sister-in-law Judy Wolford and brother-in-law Darren Lineman. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren Hunter Reed, Josilyn and Aubrey Herron, Dylan Williams, Zachary Schwartz, Tiffany Switzer, Rebecka Stobert, and great-grandson Declan Gallagher.
Diane was preceded in death by her first husband David Reed Sr. and her father Richard Perkins, Sr.
The family would like to thank Pattie Perrodin and Hospice nurse Morgan Shae for their compassion and empathy during Diane’s final days. You are true angels on earth.
