Diana L. (King) Stringert, 76, of Clarks Mills, passed away Sunday evening, May 28, 2023, at her sons' residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 13, 1946, in Erie, PA to Robert and Bernice King. Diana was the eldest of 5 children. The family relocated to Pittsburgh, PA where she graduated from North Hills High School in 1964. Soon after graduation, she met George A. Stringert and was married August 21, 1965.
Diana was a homemaker before entering the workforce as a clerk/carrier for the United States Postal Service in Mercer, PA. She retired after 15 years of service.
She enjoyed gardening, was an avid bird watcher, was-passionate about music and dancing, loved her daytime soap operas, and devoted all of her spare time to family and friends.
Diana is survived by her 3 sons, Michael Stringert and his wife Terri, Scott Stringert and his wife Amy, and James Stringert and his wife Jenny all of Clarks Mills; 3 sisters - Bonnie Doran, Robin Silvis, Margaret "Peggy" Mawhinney, and 1 brother Robert W. King; 8 grandchildren Brandon Stringert, Phillip Stringert, Jenna Stringert, Tyler Stringert, Sydney Stringert, Kyle Stringert, Shayna (Stringert) Cropp, and Nathan Stringert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George A. Stringert, and infant son George R. Stringert.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Deacon Marty Auble, St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church officiating. Diana will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Hadley Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and may share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
