Debbie Lee (Bailey) Smith

Debbie L. Smith, Sandy Lake passed away early Saturday morning, August 27, 2022, in her residence of natural causes.  She was 47.

Debbie was born in Meadville on September 6, 1974, a daughter of the late Richard L. and Hilda Eloise (Starcher) Bailey, Sr.  On May 8, 2008, she married Leslie A. Smith who survives.  Debbie was a homemaker who had formerly been employed at the St. Paul’s Home, Greenville and Coinco, Cochranton.  She enjoyed doing diamond art and coloring and attending the Kerrtown Bingo.  She appreciated the companionship and loyalty of her dogs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tyler J. Powell, Sandy Lake, Matthew J. Powell, Conneaut Lake, Damien Keister, Meadville and Katrina Summerville, South Carolina; a sister, Billie Jo (Gregory) Patchen, Meadville; a brother, Richard L. (Jody) Bailey, Jr., Meadville; a grandson, Evander Summerville and many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Bonnie L. Bailey.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from Noon until 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Debbie will be laid to rest next to her parents at the Geneva Memorial Cemetery.
