David E. Hughes, Hadley, Sandy Creek Twp. passed away at his residence on Friday, September 30, 2022, of natural causes. He was 61.
He was born in Greenville on December 9, 1960, a son of David C. and Linda M. (Downing) Hughes. He was a 1979 graduate of Commodore Perry High School and the Mercer County Vo-Tech School where he studied diesel mechanics. David was employed through the years at K-Mart, Meadville, Bucks Automotive and Pabco, Custom Auto both of Hadley, Kime’s Chevrolet, Grove City and most recently at Holbrook Tool, Meadville.
He was a member of the Northwest Truck and Tractor Pulling Association and enjoyed competing in tractor pulls locally. He enjoyed many trips attending the National Tractor Pulling Competition in Bowling Green, Ohio and socializing with his friends at the Vernon Central Hose Company, Meadville.
He is survived by his father, David C. Hughes, Hadley; his sister Deborah (Paul) Yoos, Greenville; A nephew, Nicholas Yoos, Pittsburgh and a niece, Chelsea (Travis) Yoos-Cessna, Sterling, VA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda.
Respecting David’s wishes, no services will be observed, he will be laid to rest at the Hadley Cemetery.
